Presencia gets serious with some tough talk about domestic abuse. Co-host Veronica Garcia hears from Carmen Nieves, representative of Womanshelter/Compañeras, a Holyoke-based organization dedicated to the safety of victims and the prevention of domestic violence, and Elizabeth Gallon, a survivor of family abuse. Then, digital storyteller facilitators Alejandro Cameron and Zydalis Bauer reflect on workshops that produce sometimes personal and painful stories. Then, on a lighter note, meet MarKamusic, a multi-national musical ensemble that performs Latin music, and its director Freddy Chapelliquen. Get to know Aurelio Cuero, owner of family-friendly Parrilla y Sabores Restaurant, which offers typical food from Colombia, Peru, and Brazil.
