El educador y humanista mexicano Carlos Hernández Chávez, quien además de ser músico es un líder comunitario que ha luchado por los artistas hispanos de su estado. Chávez abogó y luchó, logrando que el estado de Connecticut designara el 1% de los impuestos a las artes.
El artista además es un padre de crianza de 30 hijos, y su contribución a la niñez desamparada ha ayudado a los niños sin hogar.
Mexican educator and humanist Carlos Hernández Chávez, who on top of being a musician is a community leader, has fought for Hispanic artists in his state. Chávez advocated and fought, and was able to get the state of Connecticut to designate 1% of taxes to the arts.
The artist is also a foster parent to 30 children, and his contributions to the cause have helped countless homeless and disadvantaged children.
